Q1. Did you apply for a visa before travelling to Thailand?
No, I didn’t apply for a visa. Since Indian passport holders are allowed visa-free entry for up to 60 days, I travelled without applying for any visa in advance.
Q2. What preparations did you make before travelling?
I mainly checked that my passport was valid for more than six months. I also kept my return flight ticket and hotel booking handy. I filled out the Thailand digital arrival card form online before travelling, just to avoid any last-minute issues at immigration.
Q3. Was the entry process at the airport smooth?
Yes, it was quite smooth. At immigration, they checked my passport and stamped it. I was asked basic questions about my stay and return date, but nothing complicated.
Q4. Were you asked to show any documents apart from your passport?
They didn’t ask for much apart from my passport. I had my return ticket and hotel booking ready on my phone, but I wasn’t specifically asked to show everything.
Q5. How many days were you allowed to stay in Thailand?
I was allowed to stay for up to 60 days as per the stamp given on arrival. Since my trip was shorter, I didn’t need any extension.
Q6. Did you face any challenges or confusion during the process?
Not really. The process was simple as long as you’re aware that it’s visa-free and you carry basic travel documents. Completing the arrival details beforehand helped.
Q7. Would you recommend this process to other Indian travellers?
Yes, definitely. It’s very convenient. As long as travel plans are clear and documents are in order, there’s no need to go through a visa application for short trips.
Q8. Any advice for someone travelling to Thailand for the first time?
I’d suggest checking the latest rules before travelling, completing the arrival form in advance, and keeping your return ticket and hotel booking accessible. That’s usually enough.
